Pay Rate: £90-100 per day

About the School
Located in the heart of Colchester, our school is a specialist hub for students aged 5-16 who struggle with emotional regulation and mental health challenges. We are a Trauma-Informed school, meaning we prioritize felt-safety and building relationships over rigid punishment. We believe that every child deserves a fresh start, every single morning.
Responsibilities include
- Helping students identify their "triggers" and find ways to calm down before they reach a breaking point.
- Being the link between the teacher's lesson and the student's reality.
- Using your training (like Team Teach or Step On) to keep the environment safe and positive.
- Tracking small social victories that lead to big life changes.
Required Qualities
- Experience working with youth, mental health, or challenging behavior (even if it wasn't in a school).
- The ability to bounce back after a tough afternoon and show up with a smile the next day.
- A desire to help the young people of Colchester find their way back to learning.
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
