SEMH Teaching Assistant - Horley
Salary: £22,000 - £23,000 per annum
Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30am-4:15pm | Full-Time
We are seeking a resilient and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to support secondary-aged learners in Horley.
This role involves working with students who present Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, supporting them both academically and emotionally within a structured educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to secondary SEMH learners
Support behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation
Assist in delivering tailored interventions
Build positive, trusting relationships with students
Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
Experience supporting secondary students with SEMH needs
Strong behaviour management skills
Calm, patient and consistent approach
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
