Do you have comprehensive experience supporting students across the key stages with a range of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges?
Are you looking for a stable, long-term opportunity to join a large, well-resourced school team where continuous professional development is encouraged, and your role directly contributes to high standards of inclusion?

- Assist the class teacher with daily preparation, resource differentiation, and managing a positive and focused learning environment.
- Implement approved positive behaviour support plans and use effective de-escalation techniques when required.
- Facilitate small-group interventions focused on specific skills (e.g., phonics, emotional literacy, numeracy).
- Accurately record and report on student progress, behaviour, and any concerns to the class teacher and relevant school leadership.
- Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding and contribute actively to the supportive ethos of the school.
Requirements:
- Significant, verifiable experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally supporting children or young people with MLD, ASC, or SEMH.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to establish supportive, professional relationships quickly and effectively with students and staff.
- Excellent consistency, reliability, adaptability, and strong communication skills suitable for a large school environment.
- Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with sensory needs or communication difficulties is beneficial.
- A current Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to obtain one promptly).
- Full-Time availability to commit to the role starting January 2026.
What We Offer:
- A highly competitive daily rate of £90 - £95
- The chance to work as part of a large, well-organised, and professional staff team in the heart of King's Lynn.
