Randstad Education is currently seeking experienced and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a number of primary schools in South Liverpool. We are recruiting for both part-time and full-time roles, offering flexibility and consistency for those looking to make a real impact in children's lives.
About the Role:
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with individual pupils who require additional support with learning, behaviour, or emotional needs. Your role will involve:
Providing dedicated 1:1 support during lessons and activities
Assisting pupils with daily routines and transitions
Helping to implement personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies
Collaborating with class teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff
Promoting social and emotional development and building pupil confidence
Recording progress and providing feedback to staff and parents/carers
You may be working with pupils diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or other learning and developmental needs. Experience in any of these areas is highly desirable.
About You:
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced in working with children with SEN (particularly in a 1:1 capacity)
Level 2 or Level 3 qualified in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
Patient, nurturing, and calm under pressure
Able to adapt to meet a child's individual needs and learning style
Strong in communication and teamwork
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds - whether you're an experienced SEN TA, a psychology graduate with SEN knowledge, or have experience from youth work or care roles.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required (or willingness to apply for one through Randstad).
