Key Responsibilities:
Your main goal is to create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom atmosphere. This involves:
- Lesson Delivery: Planning and delivering highly differentiated and engaging lessons specifically designed for students with various special educational needs.
- Adaptation: Modifying learning materials and resources to ensure they are accessible to every student in your care.
- Evaluation: Implementing formal and informal assessment strategies, analysing student performance data, and using this analysis to inform your teaching.
- Collaboration: Working closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external specialists to provide comprehensive support.
- Class Management: Effectively managing classroom behaviour and fostering strong learning practices.
Requirements and Experience:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching a range of SEN students within the UK education system.
- A strong, current understanding of SEN policies, effective intervention strategies, and best practices.
- The ability to show resilience, patience, initiative, and strong leadership within the classroom.
- A clear Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one immediately).
