Randstad Education is partnering with welcoming and inclusive schools in Bishop's Stortford and we are seeking a Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant (SEN LSA) to provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of additional needs. Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social/emotional challenges.
- Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Promote pupil engagement, confidence, and independence in learning.
- Support class teachers in delivering inclusive education across the curriculum.
- Assist with personal care or physical needs if required.
- Communicate regularly with teachers, SENCOs, and parents/carers about pupil progress.
- Foster a safe, calm, and positive learning environment for all.

Requirements:
- An up to date enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN (in school or other settings).
- A calm, nurturing, and patient approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential).
