SEN Mathematics Specialist - Liverpool

Role: SEN Maths Teacher

Status: Full-time, Long term

Location: Liverpool

The Opportunity

Are you a Maths Teacher who believes that every child can master functional skills with the right support? Randstad Education is looking for a specialist educator to lead a Mathematics classroom within a dedicated SEN setting. This role is perfect for someone who can peel back the complexities of numeracy and make it accessible, practical, and engaging for students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Designing and delivering Mathematics lessons that translate abstract concepts into real-world, practical applications for SEN learners.
Expertly adapting the National Curriculum using P-Scales and entry-level frameworks to meet students at their current point of need.
Monitoring small-step progress and celebrating milestones that foster student confidence and independence.
Partnering with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that educational targets align with the student's Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Providing a nurturing environment, including personal care support where necessary, to ensure all students feel secure and ready to learn.

Requirements

Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Previous success teaching Mathematics within a UK SEN school or alternative provision.
Proficiency in differentiating for a wide range of needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SLD) and a strong grasp of inclusive classroom management.
A patient, resilient, and collaborative professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required (or a willingness to apply immediately).
