Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) in a Specialist Setting
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are looking for experienced and aspiring SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team in a specialist setting in the Preston area.

The Role:
As an SEN TA, you will be an essential part of the classroom team, providing one-to-one and small-group support to students with a range of complex needs, including:
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning activities.
- Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Help manage challenging behaviours and promote positive interactions.
- Assist with personal care and medical needs where required.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is highly desirable, but a genuine passion and a desire to learn are essential.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are a plus.
