Role Overview: As a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant in a secondary setting, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs as they navigate their teenage years. Your focus will be on helping students reach their full potential-academically and socially-by providing tailored assistance and guidance. This role is rewarding and impactful, offering the chance to empower young people to become independent and confident learners.

Pay Rate: £90 - £100 per day
Job Type: Full-time (Term time only)

Key Responsibilities:
Assist subject teachers in delivering accessible lessons across the secondary curriculum.
Foster a positive, mature, and engaging learning environment.
Provide one-to-one or small-group support to facilitate student progress.
Monitor student development and report findings to the SENCO and parents.
Support students during transitions between classes and during break times.
Adhere strictly to the school's safeguarding and inclusion policies.
Desired Skills & Qualities:

Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with teenagers.
A flexible, resilient, and adaptable mindset.
Previous experience supporting individuals with special educational needs (ASD, ADHD, or SEMH).
Reliable transport or easy access to Upminster is an advantage.
Proven professional references and a clean record.
Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with a new application if required) and eligibility to work in the UK.
