We are seeking a proactive and empathetic Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic team in a fantastic school located in Knowsley. Key Responsibilities:
As an essential part of our support team, you will:
- Deliver one-on-one and small-group assistance to students with a range of special educational needs, both within the classroom and during dedicated sessions.
- Actively support student engagement, self-esteem, and personal growth, ensuring their academic and emotional needs are met.
- Accurately document and track student progress, behavior, and key milestones to inform future support strategies.
- Work closely with class teachers, parents, and external professionals (e.g., therapists, social workers) to create a cohesive and supportive network for each student.
Essential Requirements:
To be considered for this rewarding role, you must have:
- A minimum of 6 months of recent experience working as an SEN teaching assistant or a similar role within a UK classroom setting.
- A valid and up-to-date Enhanced DBS check, preferably registered with the Update Service. If you don't have one, you must be willing to apply for a new one.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
- A strong dedication to professional development and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
