Randstad Education is searching for a dedicated SEN TA to support an Inclusion Resource in the LS9 area of Leeds.
About the Setting This specialised resource provides a bespoke learning environment for pupils with Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). You will be part of a highly trained team that uses PECS, Makaton, and sensory-led learning to ensure every pupil reaches their emotional and academic potential.
Roles & Responsibilities
Providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Utilising adaptive strategies and sensory tools to remove barriers to learning.
Assisting with personal care and mobility requirements where necessary.
Monitoring and documenting pupil progress against specific SEMH targets.
Leading small-group social skills and emotional literacy (ELSA) activities.
Requirements
Significant experience working with pupils with SEND (specifically Autism).
Knowledge of non-verbal communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton).
A resilient, patient, and proactive nature.
