Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated, resourceful, and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly-regarded school in Liverpool. This is a pressing requirement for a full-time, continuing contract, offering a chance for an immediate start. We are searching for a highly empathetic person to champion and support learners with varied and complex special educational needs. You will be instrumental in cultivating a supportive, integrated atmosphere where every pupil is appreciated and can maximise their capabilities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Deliver crucial one-to-one or small-group help to students navigating various special educational requirements.
- Partner closely with the teaching staff to effectively put into practice tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Contribute to sustaining a constructive, orderly, and fully inclusive classroom setting.
- Assist with preparing teaching materials and monitoring student's academic advancement.
- Act as a key figure in mentoring students, helping them reach their educational and personal milestones.
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of six months of previous experience assisting pupils with SEN within a recognised UK school environment.
- Demonstrate a patient, highly energetic, and profoundly compassionate attitude toward supporting students with specific needs.
- Exhibit robust communication, collaborative team working, and organisational proficiency.
- Possession of a current Enhanced DBS check, or a willingness to apply for one without delay.
- Prior familiarity with a broad spectrum of SEN types is highly desirable.
