Primary SEN Teacher Urgently Required.
A Rare Opportunity in an "Advanced Status" ASD Provision | Kent
To: Passionate SEN Educators
Location: Snodland Area, Kent
Start: April (Summer Term)
Are you looking for a setting that matches your own high standards for SEN excellence?
While many schools offer "inclusion," our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) has been formally recognised by the National Autistic Society with Advanced Status. This isn't just a classroom; it is a centre of excellence for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and we are looking for a dedicated Specialist Teacher to join our "Wallaby Class" this April.
The Environment
Our school operates on a philosophy of "True Integration." Every child in our SRP is a full member of both the specialist hub and a mainstream cohort. This unique model requires a teacher who is not only a specialist in the classroom but also a confident advocate for inclusive practice across the whole school.
Your Focus
Supported by a Lead Teacher and a highly trained team of HLTAs and TAs, your role will involve:
Specialised Pedagogy: Delivering a bespoke, sensory-informed curriculum for children with ASD and complex needs.
Total Communication: Utilising Makaton, PECS, and other AAC methods to support non-verbal learners.
Emotional Regulation: Implementing Zones of Regulation and Social Skills interventions to foster pupil independence.
Strategic Collaboration: Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure every EHCP target is met with precision.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a practitioner with a proven track record in SEN. Whether you hold QTS/QTLS or you are an Unqualified Teacher with extensive, high-level experience in ASD settings, we value your expertise.
You should be comfortable navigating complex sensory and emotional profiles.
You must be a team player who thrives in a collaborative, trust-wide network.
Why Apply?
Join the Best: Work within a provision described by parents as "amazing" and by inspectors for its "passion and ambition."
Professional Growth: Access to elite-level training and the opportunity to influence practice within a high-achieving Trust.
Stability: A full-time, long-term contract starting this Summer term.
