Working hours: Full-time, long term
ResponsibilityWhat will you be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to students with various special educational needs.
- Assessing student progress through formal and informal methods, analysing performance data to inform instruction.
- Adapting learning materials to ensure accessibility for all students.
- Collaborating effectively with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals.
- Fostering a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Specifically the activities will be:
Creating differentiated lesson plans, implementing assessment strategies, modifying resources, working with support staff and parents, and managing classroom behaviour.
ExperienceWhat requirements are we looking for?
- Proven experience in teaching students with a range of special educational needs within the UK education system.
- A thorough understanding of SEN policies, effective intervention strategies, and current best practices in SEN education.
- Demonstrated resilience, patience, initiative, and strong classroom leadership skills.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A current, clear Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one immediately.
- Experience in adapting teaching methods and resources for diverse learning requirements.
