Key Responsibilities:
You will play a crucial role in the students success by:
- Teaching: Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students with various special educational needs.
- Assessment: Using formal and informal assessment methods to track student progress, analysing data to continually inform and adjust instruction.
- Adaptation: Modifying learning materials and resources to ensure they are fully accessible to meet all diverse learning requirements.
- Collaboration: Working closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
- Environment: Creating and maintaining a positive, structured, inclusive classroom atmosphere, including managing classroom behaviour effectively.
Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching students with a range of SEN within the UK education system.
- A current, clear Enhanced DBS check (or immediate willingness to obtain one).
- A thorough understanding of SEN policies, effective intervention strategies, and current best practices.
- Demonstrated resilience, patience, initiative, and strong classroom leadership skills.
