Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher with a Specialism in Special Educational Needs (SEN) for a full-time, long-term role in Knowsley. If you are passionate about empowering students with diverse learning needs and fostering their literacy skills, we want to hear from you.
Tasks
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that are meticulously differentiated to meet the individual learning needs (IEP targets) of SEN students, covering reading, writing, and spoken language.
Assess student literacy and language progress using both formal and informal methods, utilising data to refine instructional pathways and resources.
Adapt and simplify complex texts and materials to ensure full curriculum access for all students, making the subject engaging and relevant.
Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, parents, and specialist professionals to ensure consistent and comprehensive student support.
Establish a positive, inspiring, and well-regulated classroom culture, effectively managing behaviour to enable focused and productive learning for all.
Skills
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
Significant, proven experience teaching the curriculum to students with a variety of SEN in UK schools.
A clear, up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
Strong, practical knowledge of effective SEN strategies , including literacy intervention and communication aids.
Access to specialist Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities tailored to SEN and teaching methodologies.
