Manchester Secondary PRU is seeking an ambitious, resilient, and visionary Lead Teacher to join our leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to step into a pivotal role that combines high-quality classroom teaching with strategic curriculum oversight in a specialist SEMH setting.
The Role: As Lead Teacher, you will be the pedagogical heartbeat of the Newton Heath Learning Centre. Working in a powerful partnership with the Student Services Manager, you will lead by example-modelling "Quality First" teaching in English and at least one other subject, while providing the pastoral stability our vulnerable students need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Quality: Quality assure the delivery of the entire curriculum across your centre, conducting monitoring and evaluation to drive standards.
SEND Intervention: Collaborate with the MSPRU SEND department to identify learning barriers and implement high-impact interventions.
Pastoral Leadership: Act as a champion for your students, advocating for their needs and ensuring the best possible outcomes for those excluded from mainstream education.
Strategic Growth: Support the Senior Leadership Team in implementing policies that reflect our commitment to excellence and transformative education.

The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A proven track record of delivering English to GCSE/Functional Skills Level 2.
Visionary Leader: The ability to manage change and a passion for driving school improvement.
SEMH Expert: Deep understanding of the emotional and social barriers to learning and a "tenacious" approach to overcoming them.
