Location: Rural Surrey (Near Caterham/Chaldon)
Salary: Paid to Scale + SEN Allowance
Contract: Permanent
Do you love teaching, but find yourself wishing you had more time for the person and less time for the paperwork?
If you are a QTS-qualified teacher who excels at building deep connections with students who find the world a bit overwhelming, we want to hear from you. We are looking for a Nurture Teacher for our specialist secondary school, supporting students with Autism and complex behavioural needs.
Why This Role is Different
Forget 30-student classrooms and rigid, fast-paced transitions. Our students require a "Primary Model" in a Secondary setting. This means:
Small Groups: You'll lead a small, consistent cohort, allowing for genuine bonding.
Holistic Curriculum: You have the freedom to weave social and emotional development into every lesson.
Therapeutic Support: You aren't alone. You'll work alongside an expert team of therapists to support each child's unique sensory and emotional profile.
Who You Are
A "Nurturer" by Nature: You see the "why" behind the behaviour and meet it with patience rather than punishment.
QTS Certified: Whether you are Primary or Secondary trained, your ability to adapt learning is what matters most.
A Driver: Our school is tucked away in a beautiful rural setting-it's peaceful for the students, but it does mean you must be able to drive to get here!
Resilient & Calm: You understand that progress isn't always a straight line, and you're okay with that.
The Perks of the Job
Scale Pay: Fully matched to your experience (MPS/UPS) + SEN weighting.
Work-Life Balance: A supportive leadership team that understands the demands of SEN teaching.
Career Evolution: Extensive training in ASC and specialised de-escalation techniques.
