The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, enabling them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that each child's individual needs are met.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.

Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
Promoting independence and self-confidence in students.
Assisting with classroom management and supporting the lead teacher.
Building positive and trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Experience working with children: Proven experience in an educational or child-related setting is essential.
Passion for helping young learners: A genuine interest in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of children.
GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C or above): Strong foundational skills in these core subjects are required.
Enhanced child DBS: A valid, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is mandatory. We can assist you with this application process if you do not already have one.
Patience, communication, and classroom management skills: The ability to remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively with diverse groups, and maintain a productive learning environment.
Right to work in the UK: You must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom (no sponsorship available for this position).
