Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Burgess Hill
Salary: £24,139.67 - £25,819.26 per annum + £1,000 Welcome Bonus
Hours: 40 hours per week | Term Time Only
Start 8:15am | Finish: Mon-Wed 4:45pm, Thu 5pm, Fri 4pm

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school community in Burgess Hill. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide structured feedback on pupil behaviour, relationships and attitudes

• Support positive behaviour management and adapt responses to escalations

• Build safe, trusting relationships with pupils

• Promote independence and personal development

• Assist in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum

• Reinforce learning concepts and adapt activities under teacher direction

• Prepare and organise classroom resources

Requirements:

• Patient, caring and resilient approach

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Previous experience working with children (school experience desirable)

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
