Your main Responsibilities being a SEN TA will include:
- Working with pupils on a one to one basis or in small groups
- Supporting the teacher to deliver informative and engaging lessons
- Support students with behaviour that is challenging
- Preparing for lessons (e.g. preparing resources, putting out equipment)
- Supporting with some of the pupils' additional care needs (e.g. feeding, toileting)
- Supporting the children in completing day to day tasks around the classroom and with their learning
- Ensuring that pupils are safeguarded and supported
- A dedication to creating a positive learning environment for pupils
Requirements that we need to get you cleared for this role:
- Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
- Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
- 2 recent professional references
- Experience with behaviours that are challenging
- A calm & caring personality
- A strong and resilient personality and be committed to pupils development
- Reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills
- Team Teach trained - or willing to attend training
