Are you a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs in a Primary School setting? We have an exciting long-term position available for a passionate individual to join a team in Bury.
Position Overview:
- Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School
- Location: Withington
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30am-15:30pm
- Salary: Competitive weekly pay
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to SEN children in both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
- Collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials.
- Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Assist in the development of social and communication skills for SEN students.
- Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) children, preferably in a Primary School setting.
- Understanding of the challenges and needs of students in both KS1 and KS2.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to individual student requirements.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support is desirable.
