Are you looking for more than just a job? If you're ready to trade the "standard" 9-to-5 for a role where you can actually see the impact you make every single day, we want to invest in you.
We are an inspiring specialist independent school supporting 90 incredible pupils with Autism (ages 4-19). We don't just teach; we break down boundaries. To keep our mission moving forward, we're looking for a Teaching Assistant / Trainee SEN Teacher to join our permanent team.
The Career Path: From TA to Qualified Teacher
We don't expect you to have all the answers on day one. We are looking for potential. This is a fully funded training role designed to take you from Teaching Assistant to a member of our teaching team within 1-2 years.
Why You'll Love Working Here
We know that to take care of our pupils, we need to take care of you. We've built an environment that is as supportive of our staff as it is of our students.
- Financial Peace of Mind: Competitive starting salary plus a £1,000 welcome bonus.
- A Workspace That Inspires: Work in a recently refurbished, bright, and modern setting featuring state-of-the-art sensory and therapy rooms.
- Genuine Support: Join a long-standing leadership team with a clear vision and a "friendly-first" culture.
- Perks That Matter:
- A staff room stocked with a steady supply of cakes and biscuits.
- Free on-site hot meals
- Termly outings and team-building days to relax and recharge.
Your Role & Impact
Working Monday-Friday, you will provide high-quality, sensory-led educational activities. Whether you are working 1:1 or with small groups, you'll be helping children who may have struggled in mainstream education finally find a place where they can succeed.
"No two days are ever the same here. You'll be challenged, you'll be moved, and you'll be part of a team that celebrates every small victory."
What You'll Bring to the Team
We value personality and resilience over a long CV. You're a great fit if you are:
- Creative and Resilient: You can think on your feet and stay positive.
- Committed: You have a genuine desire to support learners with SEN.
- Qualified in the Basics: You hold GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Experienced (Desirable): Any experience volunteering or working with young people is a plus, but your attitude is what counts most.
Part-time applicants (minimum 3 days per week) are also encouraged to apply.
