Your main Responsibilities being a SEN TA will include:
- Provide individual and group support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and support the development of positive behaviour.
- Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the school's support team.
- Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
- Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements that we need to get you cleared for this role:
- Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
- Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
- 2 recent professional references
- Experience with behaviours that are challenging
- A calm & caring personality
- A strong and resilient personality and be committed to pupils development
- Reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills
- Team Teach trained - or willing to attend training
