Your Role & Key Responsibilities
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a vital part of a student's educational journey. Your duties will include:
- Individual and Group Support: Providing one-on-one and small-group support to students with special educational needs within the classroom and during dedicated sessions.
- Fostering Well-being: Encouraging student engagement and contributing to their overall personal and academic growth.
- Collaboration: Working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support system.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and detailed records of student progress and behaviour to inform future support strategies.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant Experience: A minimum of 6 months of experience assisting children with SEN in a UK classroom setting.
- Background Check: A valid Enhanced DBS check (registered with the Update Service or willing to apply for a new one).
- Work Eligibility: The legal right to work in the UK.
- Dedication: A strong commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development.
