What You'll Be Doing
As a vital part of our support team, you'll be instrumental in helping students with special educational needs reach their full potential. Your key duties will include:
- 1:1 and Small Group Support: Providing targeted assistance to students in the classroom and during specific interventions.
- Encouraging Independence: Promoting student engagement and helping to build their confidence and social skills.
- Progress Tracking: Keeping detailed records of student progress, behaviour, and any support strategies that have been implemented.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create a holistic and supportive learning environment for every student.
Essential Requirements
- Experience: You must have at least 6 months of experience supporting children with SEN in a UK school setting.
- DBS: A valid Enhanced DBS check is required. If you don't have one on the Update Service, you must be willing to apply for a new one.
- Work Eligibility: You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Dedication: A genuine commitment to inclusive education and a positive attitude.
