We are looking for a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive team at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Shepreth, Cambridgeshire, on a permanent, full-time basis.
This school provides a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. They take pride in delivering personalised, pupil-centred support that helps every learner succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Support pupils in the classroom, working 1:1 and in small groups
- Help deliver engaging, accessible lessons alongside the class teacher
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Support pupils with personal care and physical needs where necessary
- Help maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment
- Contribute to tracking progress and reporting to teachers and SENCOs
What We're Looking For:
- A compassionate, reliable, and proactive team player
- Strong communication skills and a positive, flexible approach
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable - training will be provided
- A commitment to supporting pupils with empathy, respect, and consistency
