Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver highly differentiated and engaging lessons across primary for students with a range of complex needs, including but not limited to ASD, SLD, PMLD.
- Implementing IEPs and EHCPs, setting ambitious and achievable targets.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and the wider team.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes independence, communication, and social development.
- Utilise a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and assistive technologies to meet diverse learning styles.
- Contribute to the wider school community, participating in extracurricular activities and school events.
- Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
Requirements:
- 3-6 months UK experience
- Proven experience teaching primary school pupils with complex needs.
- Strong understanding and experience of teaching students with ASD, SLD and PMLD
- Demonstrable ability to differentiate the curriculum effectively to meet the individual learning needs of students.
- Team Teach training (not a requirement but desirable)
- Able to assist with personal care needs enhanced DBS check of students including toileting and feeding
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A calm, patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to teaching.
- Knowledge of relevant safeguarding procedures and a commitment to student welfare.
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
