- Hours: Between Monday-Friday (9am-4pm)
- Salary: £28 per hour
- Mandatory Requirement: Enhanced DBS required, registered on the Update Service.
At Randstad Tuition Services, we do education differently. We support young people who require intensive specialized educational support. We are seeking a highly specialized educator for a learner with a Prader Willi syndrome diagnosis and Global Developmental Delay.

Who You Are
You are not just a teacher; you are a therapeutic specialist who is patient, highly empathetic, and skilled in supporting learners with complex needs:
- SEN Expertise is Essential
- A qualified teacher, experienced tutor, or specialist with a proven background in supporting complex SEN, specifically learners with significant physical and cognitive challenges associated with Prader Willi Syndrome.
- Communication & Interaction Specialist
- Highly skilled in using contextual support to aid understanding.
- Able to encourage communication for a learner who does not speak English but uses a few simple English words.
- Able to build the crucial trust required to engage learners, responding better to people who know them well.
- Comfortable providing necessary support for a learner who can follow simple instructions of two parts or more.
- Able to provide a high level of support and adaptations to meet significant physical needs.
- Experience supporting mobility below the level expected for their age.
- Creative and Adaptive
- You tailor sessions to specific targets, utilizing movement and multisensory strategies.
- Skilled in delivering a personalised curriculum.
- Able to implement curriculum goals focusing on phonics (essential) and hands-on maths activities.
What You'll Do
- Deliver 1:1 therapeutic tuition that is relationship-first, meeting the learner where they are-academically and emotionally.
- Plan engaging sessions focusing on core academic areas, particularly English (writing level similar to KS1/6-7 years old) and Maths.
- Focus on executive functioning, self-regulation, and confidence-understanding the learner can have emotional outbursts.
- Work closely with the team to track learner progress on key non-academic KPIs (e.g., confidence, engagement).
- Help the young person reconnect with the idea that they can learn.
