Randstad Education is looking for a SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to join from September 2025 around the Southend area. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our pupils and families.
Many of our client schools excel in supporting students with Autism and other barriers to learning, their passionate teams work hard to help each child achieve their full potential. They also make sure that staff can think, act and are trained appropriately to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Demonstrate patience, passion, and professionalism.
- Experience with 1:1 and small groups.
- Lead the provision of special educational needs support within the school.
- Coordinate the identification, assessment, and provision of support for students with SEN.
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create inclusive learning environments.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience working as a SENCo or in a similar role.
- An up to date enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
- Sound knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
