What you'll do:
... - Strategically lead and oversee all aspects of our SEND provision, ensuring full compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Drive person-centred planning through coordinating and chairing all Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews.
- Build strong, effective relationships with parents/carers, external agencies (e.g., EPs, SALT, CAMHS), and other professionals.
- Inspire and develop our dedicated team of Learning Support Workers and Teaching Assistants, promoting best practices.
- Provide expert guidance and professional development to staff on inclusive teaching, differentiation, and trauma-informed practices.
- Maintain meticulous SEN records and leverage data to continually enhance provision and contribute to school improvement.
- Champion our school's commitment to fostering independent learners ready for successful adult lives.
Who we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- You'll hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or be committed to achieving it within three years.
- A deep, up-to-date understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and proven best practices in supporting students.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, coupled with a collaborative and empathetic approach.
- A genuine passion for fostering student wellbeing, resilience, and independence.
