Key Responsibilities
Promote best practices in teaching and learning.
Develop and implement a high-quality curriculum tailored to diverse student needs.
Manage and coordinate all aspects of SEND provision.
Collaborate with parents, staff, and external agencies.
Oversee the identification of meaningful post-16 destinations and implement successful transition plans.
Advise and assist school leadership on the strategic development of SEN policy and provision.
Required Skills & Qualifications
QTS or QTLS.
A proven track record of excellence in teaching within a SEND environment.
Experience in leading and managing teams.
Strong communication skills.
The ability to manage complex situations, resolve conflicts, and build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
Accredited training in specific areas of special education (e.g., Autism, Dyslexia).
A leadership/management qualification (NPQSL/H/SENDCo or willingness to achieve within 2 years).
