The Opportunity

We are an IQM-awarded, independent specialist day school catering to students aged 6-19 with complex needs. Our learners present with a range of challenges, including PMLD, MLD, SLD, autism, and ADHD, alongside various medical and physical impairments.
We pride ourselves on our child-centred curriculum and exceptional facilities, including a hydrotherapy pool and expansive outdoor learning spaces. You will work alongside a full, integrated therapeutic team to ensure every student manages sensory and emotional challenges to reach their full potential.
The Role
Working closely with the Head of School, you will be a cornerstone of our leadership team. You will drive the development of inclusive teaching, assessment, and enrichment, ensuring our SEND provision remains at the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operation of SEND policy and contribute to the School Quality Improvement Plan.
Staff Development: Manage CPD for classroom-based staff and provide line management for support teams.
Assessment & Progress: Lead the collection and analysis of assessment data to track individual progress and secure high achievement across all key stages.
Curriculum Oversight: Determine and implement a diverse, inclusive curriculum that prepares students for adulthood and careers.
Operational Management: Support recruitment, manage delegated budgets, and ensure a safe, high-quality learning environment.
What We Are Looking For
A qualified teacher with a passion for specialist education (Qualified Teacher Status is required for the welcome bonus).
Experience in managing SEND provision and a deep understanding of complex needs (PMLD/SLD/Autism).
A leader who can inspire staff and collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary therapeutic team.
A data-savvy educator who can turn assessment outcomes into actionable learning strategies.
