We're an 'Outstanding' (Ofsted January 2018) multi-campus special school supporting children and young people aged 4-19 with a wide range of special educational needs, including moderate, severe, and profound learning difficulties, complex learning difficulties, and those on the Autism spectrum. Our expanding team is looking for resilient and effective communicators to join us as permanent Teaching Assistants.
What the Role Involves:As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be vital in supporting our students. This role can be challenging and sometimes physically demanding, as some students require high levels of care, including intimate and personal care, assistance with eating and drinking, and administering medication. However, it is also incredibly rewarding.
While previous experience working with children and young people with learning or social communication difficulties is desirable, it's not essential, as full training will be provided. We encourage you to highlight any relevant skills or aptitudes in your application.
What We Offer You:- Flexible Working Hours: We offer various options, Monday to Friday, for 39 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days):
- Option 1: 8:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (30 hours per week: £17,212 pro-rata per annum)
- Option 2: 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (15 hours per week: £8,606 pro-rata per annum)
- Alternative part-time hours may also be considered.
