The Opportunity Are you a commercial professional with a knack for navigating the complexities of Civil engineering? We are looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to join a flagship project in Essex. You will be the "engine room" of the commercial team, ensuring the project remains profitable, compliant, and on track.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Control: Management of CVRs, cost forecasting, and ensuring accurate accruals for complex highways works (pavements, structures, and technology).
Subcontract Management: Oversee large-scale subcontracts from tender through to final account, ensuring rigorous change control.
Change Management: Identifying and notifying compensation events and negotiating variations under NEC4.
Commercial Mentorship: Providing guidance to Assistant and Project Quantity Surveyors within the team.
Compliance: Ensuring all commercial activities align with project governance and client requirements.
What You Bring:
Extensive experience in a Senior QS or Commercial Manager capacity within the highways sector.
Strong proficiency in NEC3/4 Contract Administration.
A proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced site environment.
