Randstad C&P are recruiting for Senior Planner on behalf of a Tier One contractor in the Oxford area. The scheme is in inception stage and has multiple years left before completion. The project will revolutionise transportation within the area, givign successful applicants the chance to make their mark on a major project. Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Planner within the infrastructure sector, with experience working on structures and highways.
- Ideally site based experience (as an engineer or equivalent) before moving into project planning.
- Proficiency in planning software and tools, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to develop comprehensive project schedules and timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of project schedules, timelines, early warnings and resource plans.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project plans with overall objectives and requirements.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports and status updates to project stakeholders, providing insights into project performance and key milestones.
- Mentor and support junior planning staff, helping them develop their skills and capabilities in project planning and scheduling.
- Monitor progress against established schedules, identifying variances, risks, and opportunities, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
