Role Overview:
A well-established main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join their Central London office. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of a major project across the life sciences, commercial, education, and leisure sector, with values ranging from £50 million to £200 million.
This is a key role requiring expertise in both pre-construction and full project lifecycle management, ideally on high-value, complex new build, refurbishment, and fit-out schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing financial reports and cost forecasts
Budget management and commercial risk control
Advising on contract and commercial strategy
Leading client and stakeholder engagement
Supporting dispute avoidance and resolution
Assessing compensation events and payment applications
Reviewing and managing subcontractor and supplier performance
Mentoring junior commercial staff
Preferred Experience:
Delivery of projects valued between £50m-£200m
Experience with PCSA (Pre-Construction Services Agreement)
Strong understanding of full project lifecycles
Proficiency in NEC and/or JCT contracts
Sector experience in life sciences, commercial, education, and leisure projects
Start Date: ASAP
