Location: London
Focus: 2-Stage Procurement
We don't do "big and slow." We do "complex and elite." Our Special Works division is looking for a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor who thrives in the high-stakes world of fast-track, high-spec projects.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to hide in a massive site office on a five-year scheme. This is for a technical expert who enjoys the agility of smaller, high-value projects and the "sharp end" of commercial management.
The Role: Commercial Leadership
As a Senior, you will own the commercial lifecycle of multiple M&E packages. You'll be expected to bring a "business-owner" mindset to every project, ensuring technical accuracy and profitability.
2-Stage Mastery: Take the lead during pre-construction. You'll navigate the second stage with precision, turning conceptual scopes into airtight commercial packages.
Tactical Procurement: You are the lead negotiator. You'll manage sub-contractor selection and procurement strategies for specialist M&E trades where quality is non-negotiable.
The "Gold Standard" BoQ: You'll be hands-on in producing detailed Bills of Quantities and defining scopes that leave no room for "grey areas."
Financial Oversight: Full responsibility for CVRs, cash flow forecasting, and final account negotiations across a portfolio of special works.
Your Profile
M&E Specialist: A career-long focus on Mechanical & Electrical services.
Special Works DNA: You prefer the £100k - £3M project bracket-where the pace is fast, the details are intricate, and your impact is immediate.
2-Stage Expert: Proven experience in 2-stage tendering and collaborative procurement.
Commercial Edge: You have the seniority to challenge costs, negotiate hard, and mentor junior members of the team.
The Environment
We work with the best. Our projects are high-end, our clients are demanding, and our standards are uncompromising. You will have the autonomy to run your desk, supported by a team that understands the vital importance of M&E in the special works sector.
