Job Summary
Dynamic Senior Practitioner sought for Safeguarding & Support Teams to collaborate with partners, positively impacting families. This role involves staff development through coaching, mentoring, and training for apprentices, students, and support workers. The Senior Practitioner will lead practice development, support quality assurance, and uphold professional standards and policies.

About the Team
- Children's Safeguarding & Support teams are located across 3 accessible localities.
- Six teams comprise a Team Manager, Senior Practitioners, Social Workers, and family support workers.
- They use a restorative approach to improve family outcomes. Senior management offers support for complex cases.
- Social Workers collaborate with the Council's Legal Team on court applications, with court progression officers ensuring timescales are met and identifying training needs.
- Monthly supervision with an allocated supervisor is provided daily for formal/informal sessions and case discussions.
Requirements:
- You will be fully qualified (SW Degree, DipSW, or equivalent social work qualification)
- Hold a minimum of 3 years' recent experience experience in statutory social care and dedicated to delivering positive outcomes for our children.
- You must be registered with Social Work England and you must have a full driving licence with access to a car.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
