Respond to urgent referrals and conduct initial assessments of children and families, identifying immediate needs and risks.

Make critical decisions regarding the safety and well-being of children, ensuring appropriate interventions are implemented promptly.
Engage with families, building rapport and understanding to collaboratively develop solutions.
Work effectively under pressure, managing a demanding workload and prioritizing urgent cases.
Complete detailed and accurate records, adhering to statutory guidelines and timescales.
Supervise and mentor junior social workers, providing guidance and support in a high-pressure environment.
Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Registered with Social Care England.
Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Significant experience in a duty and assessment role or similar fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills. Experience working with children at risk of significant harm is essential.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
