Senior Technical Architect - £611 (inside IR35) | Hybrid (London / Telford) | 6-Month Contract

My client, a leader in their field are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Architect with a strong background in data and software development to support a major UK Government programme. This hybrid role is based in London or Telford, with flexibility for remote working and occasional travel to customer and company sites across the UK.

The Role

As a Senior Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in delivering robust, scalable, and secure data solutions. Working closely with delivery managers, technical specialists, external partners, and government teams, you will help shape and implement complex technical architectures across the full delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse complex technical requirements and issues

• Design solutions with a focus on automation and reuse

• Produce technical specifications and design documentation

• Plan, estimate, and schedule technical tasks

• Collaborate with customer teams to deliver and implement solutions

• Navigate technical design through governance processes

• Provide guidance to developers and data engineers

• Assist in resolving complex operational issues

Your Profile

Required Skills & Experience:

• Deep experience designing and integrating secure solutions in cloud environments (AWS or Azure)

• Strong background in gathering, managing, and tracing technical requirements

• Proven ability to create clear High-Level and Low-Level Designs

• Familiarity with engineering and IT service management methodologies

• Solid experience with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, Amazon Redshift)

• Proficiency in one or more tools: Power BI, Pentaho, ElasticSearch, Solr, Apache Kafka
