This is a long term contract expected to last 24 months+
Full time site based in East London.
**Candidates must have self delivery construction experience in Heavy Civils / Structural packages.
(utilities project experience highly desirable)
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management:
* Overall responsibility for successful project delivery.
* Ensure high-quality, defect-free work.
* Lead a team to deliver work safely and without environmental incidents.
* Implement project plans, RAMS, ITPs, and check mechanisms.
* Manage pre-construction reviews and ensure stakeholder consents/permits.
* Maximize contract commercial performance and manage variations.
* Maintain the project program, providing progress updates and short-term lookahead plans.
* Assist in producing subcontractor/consultant scopes and liaise with procurement.
Client Interface:
* Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the Thames Water team.
* Attend client meetings and lead on package planning, consents, and permitting.
* Deliver the project to meet or exceed customer requirements.
Cost Control:
* Manage the project cost plan.
* Maximize project value and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Maintain detailed site diaries/records.
* Communicate cost pressures and risks proactively.
Reporting:
* Produce accurate monthly reports.
* Chair weekly site meetings, ensuring minutes and actions are communicated and completed.
Key Measures & Targets:
* Meeting monthly and weekly reporting deadlines.
* Adherence to Business Unit Objectives.
* Achievement of 3-Pillar KPI and client measures.
Key Relationships:
* Customers and stakeholders
* Subcontractors and suppliers
* Site teams and support departments
Essential Requirements:
* Qualifications & Certifications:
* Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
* CSCS Card
* Experience & Skills:
* Working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management, and cost control (including forecasting).
* Excellent communication, people, and team management skills.
* Ability to lead and find solutions to technically challenging problems.
* Positive attitude, commitment to company values, and ability to mentor junior team members.
* Commitment to high standards of HSQE compliance.
Desirable Requirements:
Qualifications & Certifications:
* IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS
* Temporary Works Coordinator qualification
* Confined space training
* Lift coordinator/supervisor qualification
Experience & Skills:
* Primavera P6 software knowledge
* Proven track record leading similar value projects and delivery teams

Randstad are seeking an experienced Site Agent to work for a highly regarded subcontractor on a Thames Water utilities and structural remediation package. This involves repairing and remediating bridge structures and trunk sewer barrels across rail and road spans. The project is currently in the design phase, offering involvement from conception through to handover.
