We're working with a tier one contractor who is seeking a skilled Site Agent to support delivery across a major transport infrastructure framework in Birmingham. This project focuses on dedicated bus lanes and priority corridors like the A34 and A45, along with associated utility diversions and bus stop construction.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Site Agent with highways or civils experience to step into a high-profile programme, with clear career progression and long-term regional work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to specification
- Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to drive efficient delivery
- Maintain strong communication with the wider project team and client stakeholders
- Ensure quality assurance, health & safety, and environmental standards are consistently met
- Support the Contracts Manager in programme delivery and progress reporting
- Contribute to short-term planning, method statements, and risk assessments
- Promote a positive site culture focused on safety, performance, and collaboration
What We're Looking For:
- Strong background in delivering civils or highways projects as a Site Agent or Senior Engineer
- Experience working with NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts
- A relevant qualification in civil engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Excellent leadership and site coordination skills
- Ability to manage subcontractors, plant, and materials effectively
