About the RoleRandstad are delighted to be partnering with a leading civil engineering company to recruit a skilled Site Engineer to join their team based in Carlisle. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of general civils projects across Cumbria, while developing your career within a supportive and dynamic environment.
As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Setting out and surveying works, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Mentoring and managing junior members of the team.
- Interpreting and implementing engineering drawings and designs.
- Maintaining accurate site records, including diaries, reports, and as-built drawings.
- Acting as the main point of contact for technical queries on site.
- Liaising effectively with Site Managers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Promoting and enforcing a robust health and safety culture.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on general civils or infrastructure projects.
- A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering (HNC, HND, or Degree).
- Strong technical skills in setting out and surveying techniques.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- A proactive and problem-solving approach.
- A full UK driving license and willingness to travel across Cumbria.
