About the RoleRandstad are delighted to be partnering with a Tier One Contractor to recruit a Site Engineer to join their growing team in Cheshire. As a key member of the project delivery team, you will be responsible for the technical and quality aspects of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and designs to set out and survey the works.
- Manage all on-site technical issues, ensuring works align with design specifications and quality plans.
- Conduct regular quality checks, inspections, and audits.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive site records (QA documentation, diaries, as-built drawings).
- Liaise with the Project Manager, design teams, and subcontractors for efficient project delivery.
- Implement and promote stringent health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Mentor and guide junior engineering staff.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant Site Engineer experience on major civil engineering projects (highways, rail, water, or major infrastructure).
- A Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Strong IT skills and proficiency in relevant software (CAD and surveying equipment: GPS, Total Stations).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Deep understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel within Cheshire.
