A leading construction firm is seeking a dedicated and skilled Site Manager to oversee the complete fit-out of a significant commercial development in the heart of Manchester. This is an fantastic opportunity to lead a high-profile project from inception to completion, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all on-site activities, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
- Oversee and coordinate all trades and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
- Implement and enforce rigorous health and safety standards, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions.
- Conduct regular site meetings, preparing and presenting progress reports to senior management and clients.
- Manage site logistics, material procurement, and resource allocation efficiently.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant building regulations and quality standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all on-site queries and stakeholder communications.
Requirements:
- SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, and First Aid at Work certifications are essential.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on large commercial fit-out projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building regulations, and health & safety legislation.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
- Based in or willing to commute to Manchester.
