An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Work Team Manager to join a busy team across Argyll & Bute. You will nurture, lead, and manage a team of staff providing professional Social Work services, taking responsibility for practice, risk management, and budget oversight. This contract is for a minimum of 3 months and offers a competitive rate!
Your responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
Nurturing and managing a team of staff providing professional Social Work services
Taking responsibility for professional practice, risk management, and staff supervision
Managing and monitoring team budgets, including staffing and commissioned placements
Leading on public protection processes, such as child protection, adult protection, or offender management
Carrying out annual appraisals and supporting the development of Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW)
Participating in the Out of Hours Social Work standby / senior standby rota
Investigating complaints and participating in disciplinary or grievance processes as required
Requirements:
DipSW or equivalent Social Work qualification
Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
Minimum of 4 years post-qualified experience
Supervisory experience (as a line manager or supporting students/NQSWs)
PVG membership for working with Protected Adults and Children
Full driving licence and ability to travel effectively across the region
Strong understanding of risk management and transformational leadership
