Role: Social Worker, Adoption Assessment and Support Team
Pay Rate: £38 per hour
Are you a compassionate and skilled social worker looking to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dedicated Adoption Assessment and Support Team at Leicestershire County Council. We are seeking a proactive and experienced social worker to contribute to our vital work in finding permanent, loving homes for children.
The Role in Focus
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for undertaking comprehensive assessments of prospective adopters. This will involve:
Completing PARs and CPRs: You will have proven experience in completing detailed Prospective Adopter Reports (PARs) and Connected Person's Reports (CPRs), providing thorough and insightful evaluations to inform placement decisions.
Supporting Families: You will provide high-quality support and guidance to families throughout the adoption journey, from initial enquiry through to post-adoption support.
Multi-agency Collaboration: Working closely with children's social workers, legal professionals, and other agencies to ensure a seamless and child-centred process.
Delivering Training: Contributing to the delivery of preparation training for prospective adopters.
This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires excellent analytical and writing skills, alongside a deep understanding of adoption legislation and best practice. Your work will directly impact a child's chance to build a secure and stable future.
