The Opportunity
Middlesbrough Borough Council is seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join our Adults Safeguarding Team. This is a critical role dedicated to supporting adults at risk, ensuring their voices are heard, and promoting their right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.
You will be joining a team that values collaborative practice and is committed to "Making Safeguarding Personal."
Key Responsibilities
Lead Section 42 enquiries and manage complex safeguarding cases.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop effective safety plans.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including health services and the police.
Provide professional advocacy for adults with care and support needs, ensuring their outcomes are met.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
Qualifications: A recognized Social Work qualification and current professional registration.
Experience: Previous experience within an Adult Safeguarding or statutory Adults' team.
Commute: The ability to commute to Middlesbrough on a regular basis.
Presence: A commitment to working at least 2 days per week from our Middlesbrough office to foster team collaboration and service continuity.
