Job Title: Experienced Children's Services Social Worker (Duty Team) - Midlothian
Are you a dedicated and passionate Children's Services Social Worker committed to improving family life and protecting children's well-being? We are seeking a proactive individual to join our fast-paced Duty Team in Midlothian. This role involves crisis intervention, managing a small caseload focused on Looked After and Accommodated Children and Early Years Child Protection. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in children's lives within a supportive environment.
This contract offers a minimum of 3 months' work with a competitive rate of up to £38 per hour.
About the Role:
As a key member of our Children's Services Duty Team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Providing crisis intervention and managing a small, impactful caseload.
Overall management of assessment and care management service for children
Leading a multi-professional health and social work group in accordance with NHS and Midlothian Council policies and practice, and in line with professional standards and requirements.
Focus on Looked After and Accommodated Children.
Focus on Early Years Child Protection.
About You:
To excel in this role, you will need:
A Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
A Child Protection qualification.
Membership of the Scotland Social Services Council (SSSC).
Membership of the PVG scheme.
The ability to work independently with excellent organisational skills.
Prior experience with Looked After and Accommodated Children and Early Years Child Protection.
